Going to LOSE my mind!

Leelyn is a completely different tyke then Blaine ever was. He is into everything! I mean anything and everything. I can't get anything done unless he is secure in his crib or bouncer. The minute I turn my back he finds something to put in his mouth, a cabinet, a toilet, or THIS:

Secret/confession time

Okay first I want to say this before anyone rolls their eyes- I can't stand when people walk around the gym with their fat hanging out, dimples and cellulite (which 90% of us have) showing. I just think it should be outlawed. So here is my secret and confession this week:

I wear my spanx under my workout clothes ;-)

Also thanks to Karissa my butt is as red as a tomato because I started tanning. I even purchased a bottle of $80.00 lotion, HA- no shopping for me this week! I didn't know it was $80.00 until Brian pointed it out, OOPS

Trainer, day 2

okay so my first session with Mr. Military was hhhhaaaarrrddd! I was honestly sore from head to toe for 5 days. FIVE days y'all!

The thing is this- I would NEVER work myself out that hard, ever! He had me doing things that I had never seen done before.

Yesterday was session 2. My arms are so frickin' sore, which is great because I hate my arms but omg- just call me Mrs. Whimp.

Tomorrow will be session 3, I am scared! LOL

I am also doing 1 hour cardio three days a week and following a pretty strict eating plan the nutritionist set up for me. I feel as if I eat all day. Five times a day to be exact.

I am down a size in my clothes which is really nice. I still have a long way to go and I hope by July I will be swimsuit ready.

Tears, tears and more tears

The past 6 months of my life have been a roller coaster. From a drunk driver crashing in to my home (court date Monday, she is pleading guilty) to personal family issues to my car being broken into, to my camera breaking during a photo shoot to more personal issues
last night was a breaking point for me.

I got home from my photo shoot, walked upstairs crying my eyes out feeling as if I just couldn't handle anymore and sad that Leelyn was already in bed sleeping and I didn't say goodnight.

I sat in my office chair, plugged my camera in to see what if any shots came out. Blaine was off to the barber shop with Brian and I sat here alone.....

crying my eyes out

then I hear Leelyn cry

I go into his room, pick him up, sit in the glider and sing various songs to him and he tried to sing along. I am of course still crying over everything that has passed my way, asking God why and have I failed him in some way? Leelyn then laid his hand on my cheek opened his mouth and KISSED ME!

Nothing else mattered- all my problems and troubles were gone, loved filled this entire house.

Thank you God- I love my boys SO much! You know just when and what I need, always

This and that and that and this

Leelyn's one year was today. I couldn't make it so Brian had to take him and we are happy to report a healthy thriving 23 pound Leelyn.

He is in the 50% and Dr. Laycob said as long as he is cruising and walking with toys he is FINE! As for the teeth, we will give him 6-8 more weeks. Leelyn's new joy is dancing, at home, in the car, at the gym....all the ladies there just adore both him and Blaine, so it makes it that much more easier to drop them off! If you haven't heard of Lifetime Fitness, I HIGHLY recommend this gym. They have the best daycare and facilities I have ever seen and so many kids programs! I love it!

Tomorow is my dad's eye surgery and day 1 with my trainer.....can you tell I am NERVOUS, HA!

I met with the nutritionist today and it was very interesting actually. I went to Whole Foods and stocked up on all kinds of goodies. I am ready to get this started.

We head out Friday to the Gourley Ranch in Illinois---so much fun! The kids love it esp. the big kids. I have to admit, a little RnR is very much needed right now. Life has just been CRAZY in every single way. Blaine definitely takes after me, he loves to travel! I think we are true pro's. We hope to make it to Chicago on Sunday for some food and shopping.

Here is to a healthy happy 1 year old, safe surgery, full training session with no passing out or puking and a hopefully relaxing and fun weekend away!

Happy Easter to all

Happy Easter everyone! We celebrated the egg hunting and baskets yesterday, so Brian could take part. Traditional dinner- ham, homemade scallop potaotes, corn, rolls, and a cookie pie dessert. The boys hunted for eggs after we colored them and the easter bunny brought them baskets filled with toys and candy of course. Brian and Blaine fished in our pond and caught a large mouth bass.

Today we celebrate the true meaning of this glorious day!

Few other things, our car was broken into, and the perps got away with about $1,000.00 of merchandise. ARGH! Being stolen from is the worst feeling! Brian forgot to lock the car needless to say. We live in a nice area so that just goes to show you are safe NOWHERE!

My dad has eye surgery on his right eye Wednesday, if you remember please again lift him up! I also start day one with my trainer, lift me up to, LOL I pray I don't puke or passout! HA!

Some pics below, xoxo

My assessment

Okay, first let me start off by saying the Gourley kids are sick yet again! Off to the doctor bright and early this morning = ANOTHER round of antibiotics. Green snotty nosed kids, ick! I feel so bad for them though, I will post pics. and just look at poor Blaine's nose, it is beet red from wiping it.
(Karissa, I thought about you because I know you will LOVE his classy Sonic shirt Blaine is wearing) LOL

Next- I finally did it. I set up an appointment with a trainer. I had to take this assessment test and I walked away feeling pretty blah about myself! It said my health is average but my age is 41!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????? LOL I'm out of shape bad!
I am having a oxygen calorie point test at SEVEN in the morning, then meeting with a nutritionist and then Monday I have a cardio point test and Wednesday is training day 1 with my trainer.

What have I gotten myself into? LOL I am so ready to get healthy and back into shape, as a matter of fact, I want to be in the best shape of my life! I am totally dedicated.

Leelyn goes Tuesday for is way past due one year appointment. I have some concerns...still not one tooth and not even taking a step anymore. It is so frustrating for me.

Off to Chicago next weekend, oh and the spending half the income thing, yea not working out so well.

Update on my dear ol' dad

I spoke with him Friday after his eye appointment and he is legally BLIND! OMG, seriously that is SCARY because the old man DRIVES!
They said his right eye was the WORST CATARACT they had ever seen and in all honesty, not sure it can be corrected. He goes next Friday to have an ultrasound on that side of his face to check for tumors. It is so bad that they fear it might fall into his coronary, and if it does they will have to call in a specialist.

I have faith in God almighty he will be fine and the surgery will be successful. We think it will be on the 15th.

He rescheduled the urinary specialist appointment because two in one day was to much for him. I can't blame him and I know he wants NOTHING to do with that exam, if you know what I mean (KWIM?)

He promised me he would go. He better, Sue make sure you let him know I wrote this, LOL

Thanks again for all the prayers. Please continue to lift him up.

Snow in the morning, UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take 5

Ever feel like 5 needs to be and hour! I swear this mind of mine goes 24/7. I should be dusting my desk right now.

'My' typical day for those that wonder what a SAHM does:
Wake up btwn 8:30-9:00 thankfully I have sleepy heads!
Get their breakfast made which is usually organic oatmeal.
Turn on the toons
Get my HUGE cup of coffee.
Check my email while the munchkins eat.
Get them dressed- get out some toys to keep them occupied while I get dressed.
Hit the gym, usually by this time it's 11-11:30.
I am at the gym for 1.5-2hrs five times a week.
Get home, fix lunch.
Put Leelyn down for nap, if Blaine is here turn on a movie.
Check my mail again, do laundry, dishes, dust, vacuum, pay bills, scrub toilets, mow the lawn, play with Blaine, eat my own lunch.....
Leelyn wakes up, get him and Blaine snacks, play with them for about 20 mins. and or run errands then get dinner going, pour myself a glass of wine.
Brain gets in, eat.
Proof photos, place orders etc.
Get Leelyn ready for bed @ 7:30.
Do more 'work' if needed.
Put Blaine to bed @ 9
COLLAPSE IN MY BED!

I just don't know where to fit play dates in?

Okay, so this leads me to my next topic. The economy. So I was watching Oprah the other day and she had Suzie Orman (ugh she makes me feel crappy most of the time) and she was saying to cut your finances in half. Okay, so we are a single family income......cut it in half, OMG---that means I need to clip coupons, look for sales, no more needless shopping, no more pedicures, flip flops, clothes my kids don't need, store brand items.........

But I think I will do it for 2 months, she said 6, we will see. The economy is very scary and to see once thriving families now living in tents and shelters broke my heart and scared me! I am the type of person that never looks at prices half of the time, if I see something I like, I buy it. I have no debt so I feel good about that.....I will let y'all know if I truly succeed at this, budgeting has NEVER been my thing, so this discipline will be interesting for me. No more eating out....bwahahaha
