My 'official logo'

Most know the meaning behind my company name, it honors my mother, she passed away in 1992 when I was 17 from lung cancer. Every time there is a strong breeze or gust of wind I think of her. There isn't a day that passes I don't think of her. Once my business goes 'live' I will donate 10% of proceeds to charity benefiting a cure for cancer. There was nothing they could do for my mother, from the time she was diagnosed to the day she passed it was a short 4 months.

We heart when the grandparents arrive!

What fun it is when the grandparents are around! I love to see my kiddos EXTRA happy! Seems like my parents and Brian's parents equally love the Wii, especially bowling! S'mores was on the menu the first night, yum! Complete chaos here on out probably, lol
Other news, I finally joined Lifetime Fitness and I am happy to say I am on day three of straight workouts. That place is awesome and the daycare ROCKS! Worth every expensive penny!!! Tori, I can't wait until your six weeks post is up so we can sweat together!! Karissa, perhaps one Saturday we can go sweat together also! ;-)

Look what we woke up to this morning! Looks like it is time to lower the crib mattress! Blaine was a year before doing this, Leelyn -8 months!!!! geesh!
Just another clue my baby is growing up way to fast (okay big fat cry right about now)

She's bootiful

As Blaine has grown so has his awareness and vocabulary naturally. I happened to have a very interesting conversation with him last night and I wanted to share as I found it to be super cute.

I told him we had MOPS today so we had to get up and get busy getting ready and that he was going to get to play with his church friends. The conversation went as follows:
ME: "Do you have a Jeremiah in your class?"
Blaine: "Yes"
ME: "Who else is in your class?"
Blaine: "BROOKE!" as he smiles and blushes
ME: "Oh ya? Who is Brooke?"
Blaine: "A girrrrrlllll" (you see he can't say girl and so it comes out more as a growl, LOL)
Me: "You like Brooke?"
Blaine: "YEA! She has hair like this (he takes his finger and does twirls on the top of his head)
ME: "She has curly hair oh ya?"
Blaine : "Shes bootiful and I am gonna marry her" LMBO He giggles

Lately he seems very interested in marriage and families. That boy he is so darn CUTE!

Girls nite out

Annaka, Karissa and myself finally got together for GNO! If you're a mom, you know how difficult it can be coordinating schedules, especially with busy husbands. I heart these girls, I know I will always have a great time with them, and we did. We met at one of my favorite STL restaurants, Houlihans. I will keep private our girly discussions but I will share a couple of end of the night shots....'How do YOU wear it?" (I am so getting me one of these!!!! ;-) luv ya girls!

Busy time of the year

I think this time of the year gets nuts for everyone. Between traveling, family visits, the holiday's, shopping, decorating, baking, parties no wonder I am exhausted! I have been very busy with photo shoots and I am very happy with the direction my soon to be business is heading. Brian is also very busy running his store and all 250 something employee's, the holiday's are crazy busy for Whole Foods. We took a trip to Illinois to visit with family and friends. We had a wonderful time as always. The kids had a great time, especially @ uncle Jacks who has every fun toy for big kids to! The kids had fun swimming, playing Wii, riding the Rhino, and playing with their cousins. Brian and I always enjoy the extra set of helping hands! We also got to meet our new niece, Lacey Nicole Gourley and she is a true bundle of joy we are calling ESKIMO! She looks just like a lil' Eskimo, precious!

Pack Light

Is there such a thing with two kids, seriously?! We are headed out for a weekend getaway tomorrow and I keep telling myself to pack as little as possible! It turns out little isn't happening. Don't forget......EVERYTHING! lol

That's just gross!

Our visit with Craig has come to an end. It was so wonderful having him here. He was such a blessing to have especially after everything that happened the day after he arrived, little did he know his arrival was going to create such a bang, ha ha ha!
Not only did a car end up in my home, but on Halloween we ended up or I ended up taking Blaine to the ER for a infected hangnail. Yea, it got pretty bad and gross fast! Have I mentioned that I LOVE having a Ped. Nurse three houses down from me ;-)

Well, they ended up giving him 'laughing gas' so they could cut it and drain it. Let me say that I hope I never see my son like that, you know, high as a kite! He got quiet, then very relaxed and then he busted out with "SANTA CLAUSE" and it was non stop laughing out LOUD from that point forward. It was a funny sight that is for sure. Let me preface here and say that I truly hope nothing else happens from now til the NY. Oh yes, and we have yet another new addition, born Halloween, Lacy Nicole Gourley 7.13- I get to have some NB loving in a couple of weeks, yay!

Other then getting bids on the repair work and staying busy with my practice photo-shoots, all is well. Til next time, be safe and God bless!
