HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!

The picture is a picture of a picture my sister has and it is my favorite of her. Since she is the oldest, you know......

I wanted to celebrate her life today. She was of course a beutiful, caring, STRONG, awesome, caring, loving, supportive mom. I will never be the person she was. Really, I won't because I do not have her awesome yummy cooking gene. She would come home from work and spend 1.5 hrs in the kitchen preparing dinner for us every.single.night!
She was so contagious, everyone loved her. Her presence was known. She had a gentle touch, warm laugh and you just loved being around her. She loved fishing so much that she made my dad buy her a boat, and a big pontoon party barge boat at that just so they could escape for the weekends with all of their friends to fish ;-)

I miss my mom so much. Not a day goes by I don't think of her. I went a long time after her passing where I couldn't talk about her and didn't want to remember her because it hurt so bad to. I emotionally shut down for a long time. Somewhere between then and now I have come up for air, I can breathe and I know that she is here, she lives in me, around me and that is comforting.

So, HAPPY 56th BIRTHDAY MOMMY! I celebrate your life, your love and your memory.
