Who needs Santa when you have Nana!

Our visit has come to an end. It was wonderful to see Jennifer and Nana! We had a blast even though Nana became very ill. Casino fun, dinner at Wapangos, shopping and an early Christmas. The boys made out very well already and we still have two more to go! Blaine finally received his Nintendo DS, like he needed it, thanks aunt Jenn!! Even Brian was lucky enough to get two Wii games. Birthday parties, Christmas parties, oh what fun it is! I will miss them dearly, it was nice to catch up and hear about all of the exciting crazy things that Jennifer deals with being a cop. I can't wait to do a ride along next year, watch out bad guys!!!!
We will be headed to my dads in 2 days and I haven't even started packing so with that said, enjoy the pics and Merry Christmas to all of our readers! Be safe and may your Christmas be filled with the love of Christ and lots of joy! Until the New Year xoxo

Bye-Bye

'The' talk

We received a call this morning that Brians uncle is probably going to pass away today. He is the oldest of the bunch. We were just there last month and he got to spend some time with him, him and Blaine.

I told Blaine that his uncle Donnie would probably be going to live with Jesus today which opened up a conversation about death naturally. He knows that his mamaw is with God but he never met her, so to actually know someone and then hear that they will no longer be here for them to see I think was a little confusing for him. He then said 'Mama, you will never die right?' (okay so I am totally tearing up right about now)I of course told him everyone dies sometime but we will all be together again in heaven. He then proceeds to say that Uncle Donnie will live in his heart with his mamaw and sissy ( I heart that boy ;-)) He asked me why people die. If that isn't a loaded question! I tried to keep it simple and just told him that people die because God needs them in heaven.

What a way to start my day. Remember, I have my family coming in from Tx tomorrow, ugh, it always seems to go this way in my life, December is not nor ever has been a good month for me!

Please pray for his family.

Ho Ho Ho, MERRY CHRISTMAS

Up until the day we arrived at the mall to visit St. Nick, my Blaine yet again wasn't having any part of sitting on Santas lap. I am thrilled to announce he did it ;-) Went right up and sat right down. The sweetest part of the entire trip was him telling Santa what to bring for Leelyn. Choo Choo Trains and cars. I puffy heart that kid! His sweet streak is sweeter then his naughty streak ;-)
Did I mention we got his teeth done? (Don't make fun of the car seat, I still haven't purchased a new cover) LOL Poor kid!
Our computer is on the brinks! Geek Squad is coming out today. It all started when I tried to download CS4 (uh huh, I am totally showing off that my DH bought me CS4 and an external hard drive the other day) yet I can't even play because it won't install....basically I have $1000.00 just sitting here for me to drool over! SUCKS!
Both kiddos are super sick, again! I swear since last year when we went to Houston and they both became very very ill, things haven't been the same! Nana and Aunt Jenn arrive Thursday, woot woot! We have a big ice/snow storm on the way so says the weather channel! YUCK!
I have been a regular @ the gym, 6 days a week, two hours a day. I take off God's day of rest ;-)
Now, if I could just get the food under control, my date for that is January 2nd ;-)
Things are crazy busy around here. We hope all is well with you and yours.

Leelyn's 9m check-up

Poor little man isn't even in the 10th percentile in weight! Barely 18 pounds and that was after drinking a 7oz bottle! His 3rd kidney test will be in a month, please remember him in your prayers and we also have to take him to the dentist to have his bottom gum looked at. It has a weird dipping action to it and the Pediatrician just wasn't sure about it.
ALSO- he told us it was fine to start him on whole milk. YAY! We just need to mix it with formula (3 oz) for a week. No argument there! Milk is so much cheaper! Here are a few shots from my nifty point and shoot! ;-) Hope all is well!

Receiving is hard for me

I am a giver. I just am! I have always been a giver. I like to give and not tell to! One day sitting having lunch with the family, two firemen walked in and I bought their lunch. I asked the waitress not to tell them who bought it. Yup, that's me- Mrs. Giver!
Well, today I received. Let me preface and say my eyes still water up looking at this precious piece my wonderful neighbor's husband made me. We puffy heart the Bigg's. They have been SO good to us. Larry drove Brian to the hospital in last year's HUGE snow storm to pick Leelyn and I up and even stopped so I could get my pain medicine. It was about a 2.5 hr drive, which typically is a 20 min. drive. God blessed us with them for sure! Today I received one BEAUTIFUL bracelet with my son's names. Let me say I can't ever find anything with their names, Leelyn of course not and I made that name up, Blaine's isn't very common either! On top of the beautiful bracelet, I also received a free babysitting and gift card to Wapango. Wow- I need to take their pictures more often ;-)

We love the Biggs regardless!!!!!

Gone with the wind

Our Daily Bread today is titled Gone with the wind. Today is December 4th and 16 years ago my mother passed away of lung cancer. As you know, the wind makes me think of my mother so I found comfort in the daily bread today and I believe it was just another sign to let me know that she is still here with me. Also- 16 years Brian and I have been together. Most people are divorced and married again by our age. I love that man!

I love my conversations with Blaine. Truly, they make me LOL. The other day he asked me if his legs were spinning as he ran across the room. I looked at him puzzled trying to figure out what he meant and *DING* he wanted to know if he was super fast like Sonic (video game) his legs spin fast when he runs. It is so funny to me that Blaine actually thinks his legs are spinning and naturally I love to feed his imagination so I tell him yes!

Next, he wears gloves like Mario (Mario cart) and thinks he is Mario when he puts them on. I promise, he only gets 1.5 hours of game time a day, not counting the gym which provides flat screen mac computers, like 15-20 of them for the kiddos ;-)

Leelyn is 9 months and I just can't believe it~ He says mammmmm, dada, baba and a bunch of baby gibberish. He is crusing and all over the place. I can't wait to take him for his check-up. Still, no teeth but I swear we have been teething for like 4 months now, arghhhhhh. He LOVES and I mean LOVES Go Go Gabba- he starts dancing and giggles it is the cutest thing to watch and an AWESOME way to start my morning. Both kids are sleeping until 9am. Leelyn goes down @ 7pm and sleeps now until 9ish and I deserve every stinkin' minute because he kept me up for 8 months!

Still battling with the insurance. No surprise there. Oh and one of the craziest things I heard about this week......stay @ home moms actually putting their kids in preschool before age THREE?!?!?!? REALLY?!?!?! SERIOUSLY?!?!??!?! Even by age 1! Sorry, I just don't get it! (no I am not talking daycare for working parents) wow, guess I will be talked about how bad of a mother I am because my child won't start preschool until he is three, thank you very much! ;-)

My mom and a few pix from grandma and grampals visit.

That's all folks, be well

He JUST hung up on me?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!

A little humor from me:

Okay- I STILL have a huge hole in my garage. It snowed therefore we had to scrape the windshields of our cars! We have been getting the typical run around from the insr. agent. Brian has been handling the affairs of this matter until this morning....mama said "ENOUGH!" I called who I will call Mr. IGNORANT (ha ha) and demanded some answers that I need to get my garage fixed and I am tired of his lack of response and lack of returning our calls! We were 'supposed' to have our money a couple of weeks ago- all was good and then, OOPS WTH happened? We were told check was in the mail, guess what, it wasn't! It isn't like we are suing, we just want our money to repair our garage. No, I wasn't rude, didn't raise my voice, however I did ask him who was above him and his response "no one", LOL yea right! I insisted he give me the name of his supervisor and HE HUNG UP ON ME! SERIOUSLY, omg how unprofessional and inappropriate! I am THE VICTIM and I am being treated like the person that made the decision to drive drunk and crash into TWO homes!

To top it off, Blaine and I both got food poisoning, this is my third time in 5 years getting food poisoning. I wouldn't wish it on my worst 'enemy' not that I have any but if I do, I wouldn't wish it on you. My poor Blaine, that was the worst torture, seeing my babe puke for 24 hrs and begging me to make it stop. Anyhoo, I know you shouldn't wish a day away, but this year is ending BAD!
