Life is forever changed

Finally after a few days, I think the shock has subsided completely. I have to be honest with all my readers, I am very upset, hurt, confused and angry. I keep playing many different scenarios in my head, what if this or that. We are so very thankful that only our home and car took that impact. Had Brian's car not been in the garage, well she just might have entered our home striking any one of us. It is very sad the choices people make- especially those that have family. I am well aware that people are human and make mistakes, but I do not feel this was an accident, sorry! This could have been avoided!!!!!
I don't feel safe in my home. I don't feel safe letting my kids play outside which we do daily, I don't feel safe walking on my sidewalks or street. One person's stupid careless thoughtless actions took that safe haven from us. To any readers that drive drunk, I sincerely hope this story touches and changes your way of thinking- your choices. The sad part is that no warrant will be issued until 6-8 weeks when her blood work comes back, until then she is free to roam! Per a convo I had with the ex, he doesn't feel that this will change her. I am very familiar with addiction as I have had to deal with people in my own family with addiction to alcohol and drugs. I really hope that this anger is replaced soon because it is eating at me 24/7 and it isn't fair to me or my family. Again, thank you to everyone for your calls and emails. We have three adjusters coming out today. Please keep our neighbors in your thoughts and prayers also as their home has MAJOR damage and they can't even stay in it.

Crash update

Brian was on the news yet again, better him then me. The mother that was responsible is in critical condition, ICU in a coma. She has three daughters. This by far wasn't the first time she did something like this. The ex husband came over this morning as it was his car she was driving and she did drive her daughter home from a friends right before the accident, although was it really? It could have been avoided!

Brian was in the bathroom, I was in bed. The bathroom is right off the garage and my bedroom is to. I heard this scraping sound and then my house shook and I thought it was an earthquake. Brian said the lights went out, he turned around to flip the switch and that is when he thought a bomb went off. He opened the door to our garage and there was a SUV inside of it.....he ran outside and noticed there was a lady in it, unconscious. Our neighbor came over (Larry) and jumped in her car to shut it off, yes it was still running. She hit a gas line, cable box and electric box on our house. Three bottles of vodka were in the vehicle. She wasn't wearing a seat belt.

Adjusters will be out tomorrow. ;-/ Ty to everyone for your calls- we are doing fine physically! ;-) Everyone has been very kind and thoughtful- most importantly my family remained safe due to Brians car in the garage which stopped the SUV from entering our house and probably killing Brian.

Our Leelyn

He just melts my heart with such joy. Here he is crawling, holding his bottle and oh my, that hair! He had his first Whittle House experience as we met some friends there this morning. I wasn't happy that he had a train in his mouth that thousand's of kids have had their hands on, so pray he doesn't get ill ;-) Enjoy

My friendships- secret/confession

Mops was emotional for me this morning. I am pretty good I think about trying to keep up with my friendships, but I really felt so far from them this morning. I truly try to continue to water them so they continue to grow. I have been so consumed with photography stuff that I have put my relationships on the back burner I feel like.
Even though those that mean the most to me are hundreds of miles away - I have always felt close until recently. I know I have a few readers, and you know who I am talking to and or about, so to you I just want to say I love you, and my life wouldn't be the same without y'all!!!! xoxo God blessed me with some wonderful people in my life.

Now, back to reading ha ha ha

Birthday Fun

We did a 'low key' birthday in way of Blaine's wishes. He said no big party this year - just us. We invited one of his bestest as he would say......
Leelyn has decided to pull himself up, oh yes! He also is just a hair from crawling! What a day!!!! Happy Birthday my little miracle man!
