Build your house on the lord

I am sad to say that Blaine's school is closing their doors to the preschool program they offered. Today was his last day there.
Last night they had their spring program and I don't think there was a dry eye in the room. The director who's name just happens to be Mrs. Joy had a difficult time keeping her composure during her speech. Blaine sure was a handsome little man in my opinion.
He did his own hair, he is getting to be such a big boy.
Brain and I are very saddened by this because as some of you may know that finding a bible based good preschool is difficult in this day. The love and joy that filled his classroom we believe was one of a kind. The director and his teachers were so down to earth and truly there for the kids. Blaine has learned so much over the past year and for that I am so thankful. The joy and growth has been amazing. I remember his first day of school like yesterday, I cried my eyes out and was an emotional mess leaving him in unknown territory, it was so hard. That was short lived, after the first week I couldn't wait to send him back! HA!!!! I think we all cherished those Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-2!
Blaine gave an unbelievable performance says his momma and dad, naturally! From the moment he started his walk up to the stage we knew we were in for a treat the way he pranced right up there which was great considering he missed both days last week.
I will attach a short video of him singing, front and center might I add and also a short video of the pastors closing speech which is worth the view. So long LUTS: Learning Under The Sun, you will surely be missed by many. God Bless!

That's my boy, full of jokes, joy, curiosity, love and affection. He is "perfection" in our eyes.

Deep in the heart of TX

We survived! I am not so sure I would call what we went through a "vacation" but it sure was nice to see all of our friends, family and Godson for the first time. Isn't he adorable!

Where to begin?! Traveling with two little ones is definitely a challenge to say the least. Let me just say that there is no way I would ever attempt doing this alone! I do not have the patience for that. This trip has been planned for a very long time and I was itching to just get there and settled. I will say BOTH boys did FABULOUS on the plane. Leelyn had no complaints.
Our first night there was relaxing and surprisingly cool, very un-Texas like. We had dinner at one of our favorite tex-mex restaurant and ended it on grandmas patio. The next morning I met my godson for the first time as did Leelyn and it was friendship at first sight for him, and love at first sight for me. He is adorable and a big boy! We love him so. His sister lala is one of the most beautiful little girls my eyes have ever seen (besides my neighbors little girl Peyton) mom and dad will have their hands full with these two precious ones. I miss my "home" so very much. It is a challenge being so far away, and each trip back just confirms that love more! I have many, many friendships there, and a couple of very xtra-special friendships that I cherish. The kids had a wonderful time and why wouldn't they? Soda, candy, popcorn, chuck e cheese (thanks nana and aunt Jenn). Can you say SPOILED! No wonder Blaine was super sad to come back home, geesh! Brian and I had a wonderful night out with our friends we all know that I love good food, drinks and conversation and there was A LOT of that going on this night. We also spent a wonderful night at a place called Kemah, SO MUCH FUN! You know our obsession with Spongebob, so it was a sure hit with Blaine. Rides, good food and friends, need I say more?!

We unfortunately managed to visit the ER as Leelyn became very ill as was Blaine. He was having a hard time breathing and as you can imagine that was very scary for us. No worries though, all was fine. He ended up with a Viral Infection, and big brother came to his rescue playing Dr. Blaine even though he to had a Bacterial Infection as you can tell by his eyes he isn't feeling well. He loves his baby brother and was very concerned. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the sling?!

Blaine managed to fall and knock his bottom tooth loose on Saturday at our BBQ (looks good huh?) I have been meaning to make our dentist appointments anyway. This about sums up our week back home. Home is where our heart is, Texas pride! As they say, when in TX do as the Texans do I ended up pretty sick the last two days with what I call a Viterial Infection, a little bit of both! Ha!! I love you guys and we miss you! Kia, I will see you in July, Florida here we come!

Quick Shout Out

I just wanted to give a quick shout-out to two of my neighbors...Mrs. MaryJo and Mrs. Cathy for SAVING us from A) losing it B) Taking Blaine to the ER, who needs that expense and C) Just being there!

MaryJo - It meant SO much to me that I didn't have to load my sick boys up in the car to venture out to Walgreens to get yet...more medicine! Sorry you had to witness the vomit, ALL OVER ME, LOL

Cathy - how BLESSED are we to have a ped. nurse two houses down...VERY! Thank you for coming over and looking at Blaine for us. You will be happy to know his fever finally broke last night and he is draining like crazy! I did the nose saline and it really helped Leelee out.

Glowing while Firming

I am a very dedicated user of Jergens Natural Glow Sunless Tanning Lotion as I quit laying out in the sun about 8 years ago. I do not need anymore wrinkles for one thing and skin cancer more importantly scares me. I have tried just about every sunless tanner out there, from the high priced ones you find in the mall @ the fancy makeup counters to the cheapest of the cheap. Everything I have tried either left me orange, streaked or very stinky.

I fell in love with Jergens about 15 minutes after I applied it for the first time about 2 summers ago. No streaking, no orange color, no staining on my hands and no stinky after smell. Today I went to purchase some in hopes to look about 5-10pds. thinner for our vacation and they now have a new one that also "firms". Okay I know that products that claim they firm really don't actually firm enough to notice, but how happy am I.....VERY! It smells wonderful also!

While I was @ the gym Saturday, a lady mentioned Jergens sunless tanning and how she too loves it. So, if you want a natural looking, streak free summer glow, go ahead and give it a try. Retails anywhere from $5-8.00. Enjoy!

I didn't eat until when?!

(me after one of the worst days with two sick kiddos) LOL!!!

7:30 pm! My first bite of food today wasn't until 7:30 pm! What a day! My poor Blainers ended up with a fever, a high fever of 103.4 yesterday afternoon. I tried everything to get it down, cool showers, medicine, cold rags on his forehead, and wrists....nothing was bringing it down.
So, after being up all night long with both boys- Brian took him in to see our pediatrician, where we seem to live these days between the two of them. Blaine has a bacterial infection which has moved to his ears and on top of that, a sinus issue that is draining through his eyes. My poor baby!

Needless to say, today was supposed to be my fun day of being pampered! After a months wait to get in to see my stylist, they call me @ 10:30 to try and cancel my appointment! My stylist had a double ear infection. Have I mentioned I am going on vacation Monday and my roots are showing by a good 2 inches?! OMG, I am freaking out at this point as I answer the phone with Leelyn in one arm, pump on the other............NO!!!!!!!! I think I really did shout into the phone at this point. I know better then to have my hair done by someone else but damn it, today was the day!

Brian ended up taking a lot longer @ the doctors then expected, so I rushed to the nail shop to get my pedi. and that was a mess also! My toes got smudged and the lady doing my nails was in a hurry as they were very busy - but I wanted to scream at this point "STOP", I am paying "x" amount of money and I want to get what I am paying for! ARGH!
I rush home to pump a bottle for Brian, drop off the prescription for Blaine and hurry to the salon where little Mrs. Just Graduated from beauty school will be chopping away at my locks....Let me just state for the record, most of the time I am a very mellow person, but these days, time is money and both are short! Well folks, this is how I ended up looking:
The picture speaks for itself don't you think? No, I am NOT and I repeat NOT happy! WTH kinda cut is that?! $200.00 for that?! I should have said something, anything but I figured why, what is the use, I was just to tired to speak after 2.5 hrs of sitting I wanted out of that place and the fumes which gave me a horrible headache....Anyhoo, so I stop to pick up the prescription I dropped off earlier which ended up costing an arm and a leg, so I kindly asked the gentleman behind me if he could spare his that I simply needed to keep mine because I had two kids at home that would require me to use both arms and legs....but whatever! My counter top is worth millions to some:

It is now 8:30, Leelyn is crying as he does 24/7 if he isn't being held. Case and point:

Blaine is fussy and my hubby is at his limit spending an entire day with two kids, HA!
I still have a million and one things to do before Monday:
Pack, make the bed that Blaine had an accident on because dad forgot to put a pull-up on him before his nap.....OOPS!

Off to feed, bathe, and hopefully get a solid 4 hours of sleep tonight! Ciao

Mothers Day Lunch

Today was an emotional day for me. It was my very first mothers day lunch with my beautiful son Blaine at his school.

This household is suffering from serious allergies which I have suffered from since moving to the Lou, so the day started out very slow and I was very tired. Even though little Leelyn only wakes up once to eat, I still have to get up another time to pump. I knew that I had to get it together because I did not want to miss out on this special occasion. I really really wanted to crawl back in to bed. After a couple cups of coffee, off we went.
I wanted to surprise him with his favorite, which is probably every child's favorite and first choice to eat for lunch.

Needless to say, he was very happy with what I brought to eat - as you can see.

Much to my surprise he had many mothers day gifts waiting for me, and let me preface here and say my hormones are still out of whack! The eyes were filling up with tears more so than usual!
My Blainers, he is such a happy handsome little man! Thank you Blaine for making mommy feel all better!
