The suds

Blaine is having allergy and sinus issues this week and this morning when he woke up he tells me he has "the suds". Now we are dedicated SpongeBob Squarepants cartoon watchers in this house (yes I know it isn't appropriate for a 3.5 yr old, but I pick my battles). There is an episode where SpongeBob is sick and is diagnosed with having "the suds". I thought that was SO super cute and wanted to share!

Oh these aching bones......

Is it just me, my age or having children that change your body tremendously? After I delivered Blaine for the first six months I had horrible joint pain in my hands, feet and knees. It was so bad, it sent me to the chiro. where weekly adjustments and accupuncture were a must. Once again, the joint pain has shown it's ugly face. It is so bad in the mornings that the first step out of bed, I feel as if I might fall down!
I can't afford $115.00 a week to see a chiro and our lovely insr. doesn't cover it! I called my OB and spoke with her nurse who said joint pain is actually common post pregnancy - so for the time being I will band aid it with prescription Motrin and flexeril (sp?) - WHATEVER it takes to feel better!!!
It aggravates me - how am I supposed to lose the 40 pounds I allowed myself to gain after the 25 pounds of actual baby weight (for those that are slow to add = 65 pounds total) feeling so bad! Have I mentioned the huge milk jugs I carry around 24/7, oh my aching neck and shoulders! Then my 3.5 41 lb son wants me to pick him up, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! UGH!

I swear, if I had my prescription for xanax and wasn't BF'ing for our trip coming up (flying with two) I would so be all over it! lol I don't want to get old, lol
Here is to getting to sleep in until 9:30 (all three of us) and Leelyn is STILL sleeping! Thank you Jesus!

Who needs a thumb anyway?

I have put off clipping Leelyn's nails because I can't find our baby clippers, it appears my oldest has hid them somewhere in this unorganized home of ours. Taking a chance, I decided to use the adult clippers because he scratched his face last night while sleeping. With each finger I clipped I held my breath praying I wouldn't harm the child! I got to his thumb and the scream was so loud it scared myself and Blaine! I just about took his thumb off!!!!! Picture shown....

There goes my mother of the year award! Poor Leelyn cried harder then when he received his two shots on Tuesday. This occurred at a very early 9:00 am and I had only had 2 sips of coffee *MOMS DON'T TRY THIS WITHOUT CAFFEINE THAT EARLY*

My little Blaine has quite the artistic being in him (and he does not get it from me). Here is a picture of his lovely stick family he drew of the four of us, my kid or not the boy has mad skills - like his daddy!
FYI - I also have a website for Leelyn, since I was pregnant I put it together for our family and friends afar so they could follow my pregnancy

Photography

It is no surprise that I shoot my children's pictures. Blaine has been to an actual studio three times in his life. I simply love taking their pictures, simply because I know them, I am patient and I have a little professional skills under my belt. I have often thought about turning our basement into an actual studio and I am seriously considering it now. I just need about 10k, HA!

Here are a few pics. (6 of the 24) I took of Leelyn this morning for his two months! A BIG thank you to great aunt Debbie for the cute outfit. Enjoy!

Our introduction

I am weary to be apart of the blogging world, but I thought I would give this a go. I am a happy mother of two very gorgeous boys says his mom and dad, and well maybe a few others. One is 3.5 and his name is Blaine and boy is that one a handful and a bundle of joy. My other is Leelyn, AKA leap day miracle baby who is two months today. My husband, well his name is Brian and he is a Store Team Leader for a wonderful store called Whole Foods Market, maybe you have heard of it? So with that said, yes we try to live a natural healthy lifestyle. We moved 6 years ago to the Lou from Houston, TX. I miss it there so much, it has been very challenging "planting" my family here, things are very different.
I am blessed to be able to stay home with my boys. I want to be the main influence in their life. From the moment we found out I was pregnant, we immediately knew I would stay home. Needless to say, a single family income is very different from having two incomes but you make it work and I wouldn't change a thing.
I am excited to get started and I hope not to bore to many of you ;-)
