Prayer request

My step moms nephew is 9 and he came down with a headache last Tuesday and he is now fighting for his life. They discovered a cancerous tumor on his brain stem. They operated and were only able to remove 30% of the tumor. He is hopefully being transferred to St. Jude's this week, if he makes it.

This type of cancer responds well to Chemo however it always returns. They gave him a 20% chance.

I have to say that I have a hard time dealing with stuff like this. Just when you think you have healthy kids.......ugh! I hate hearing about kids going through things like this. It tears me up inside.

Please lift him up, glory be to God who can and does make miracles happen. Please lift his family up also---

secret/confession

secret- I had french fries with my lunch yesterday

confession- I enjoyed every single one!

In my defense I took a VERY hard class last night @ the gym and probably burned 600 calories easily. This class was no joke and I thought about running for the door like 5 times! It had me jump roping people! LMBO

Only 2:30 and this has been how my day has gone

He not only took off his diaper, but the sheet to his bed. It was everywhere and I mean everywhere from the bars, to the wall in his ears, under his finger nails and toe nails-----I should have known it wasn't going to get any better!

I decided to take the kiddos to the mall, I needed to do a little shopping for our up coming mini vacation and in the car on the way Blaine screams as loud as he can "MOM A SPIDER" okay so the spider was right above Leelyn. I took my shoe off and smashed that sucker, HA!

Kids were doing great at our first stop- Dillards. I got what I needed and proceeded to Old Navy and that went fine also. I let them play for a while and Leelyn was all over that play area. I am amazed at how strong he is and DARING!

Then we went to Houlihans for some lunch---Leelyn choked and scared the poo out of me, Blaine spilled his soda and then started crying....

We headed to the Gap after lunch. For an entire 20 mins. there was this 5 year old BRAT following us around telling Blaine he 'wasn't cool and ugly' all the mean while his mom is doing NOTHING! I can't stand it when parents don't pay attention to their kids. Finally at the check out they were behind us and he once again for the 10th time called Blaine ugly and his mom says 'what did you say? Don't say that' AND THAT WAS IT! If my son said that to another kid he would be in big trouble! I was LIVID at this point and told Blaine loud enough for them to hear that we should never say mean nasty things like that to anyone and let's just mind our manners and not to worry about it that he did the right thing by not saying anything back. Only then did the mom half ass apologize....whatever, get your kid under control missy! LOL

My Blaine isn't ugly- look at his cute little round face!


Anyway- Blaine fell and busted his lip on the way out of the mall.....ugh, is it wine time?

What a weekend!

I had a FAB weekend. Nick Diaz (fighter) was in Whole Foods Market Friday evening---uh huh that is right! LOL I think fighters are hawt, but those that know me know that I like bad asses with tatts (AMI JAMES IS MY #1 after all and he boxes, oh and he has tatts all over, hmmmm) I think my ovaries just quivered.....LOL Is it getting hawt in here?! Okay I will stop.

I took the boys to the City Museum and I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! I will definitely hit this place up with friends for adult night out. If you are single- take your date here! Blaine had a BLAST! There is so much to do and see, I can't believe this was our first time there. If you live here in the Lou and haven't been I highly recommend going!

Blaine helped with much needed yard work. I am seriously considering a cleaning service, I just do not have the time to do everything these days.

So if anyone has any inspirational quotes they would like to share with me, please do. I am in a funk these days and could use some pep talking, i.e. 'the sun will come out tomorrow' 'the grass isn't greener on the other side' 'hang in there' ;-) xoxo LOL thanks!

I seem to have hit a plato in my weight loss (since Jan. down 26 pds) any tips to get through it??? I still have 25-30 to go.

It was....

a staph infection btw on Blaines ankle- The dr called us this morning to let us know. Basically he had a bite or sorts and his dirty little fingers infected it.....this is why I don't bite my nails, ICK!

No amputation necessary

Blaine had some type of bite on his foot yesterday which I thought was a mosquito bite. This morning his ankle was swollen and red. We went to Wal-Mart and by the time we left his entire lower leg was swollen and the bite was oozing puss and very red. As I pulled in my neighborhood, luckily my neighbor that lives 3 houses down is a Pediatric nurse at St. Johns Hospital was also pulling in so I took Blaine over there for her to look at his foot. She tells me to get him in to the doctors office pronto or take him to the ER. Seriously- y'all know this is just my luck! Here I bought all this fun swimming stuff and pool only to be on the phone with the doctor. UGHHHHH! ARGHHHH!
Well- he definitely has a serious fast growing infection (with a fever) and he is on some serious antibiotics that they treat staff infection with. He is to keep it elevated and we are awaiting the culture results. Talk about just crazy! Enjoy the gross pics! These were taken early this morning, prior to the leg swelling and oozing puss Poor quality- sorry.
