My baby is gonna be ONE!

I can't believe that Leelyn, sweet sweet Leelyn will be one this week. My heart is crying I tell ya! Man that year went fast!
We took Blaine to a studio for his 1 year picture, above. I still had the outfit so I decided to try and copy it, crumbled sheet and all so I can hang them up side by side. The outfit is faded but I did my best. Leelyn will not sit still for anything these days.
I was looking in Blaine's 1 yr. scrapbook comparing them. Blaine was walking like a champ and could say 'mama, dada, hot, juice, baba, ball and bye bye' Leelyn stands for like two seconds then freaks and drops LOL he says 'mama, dada, baba, ball, and dat' Blaine had almost 6 teeth, Leelyn has......NONE! LOL Not even one at the surface!

We will celebrate his Birthday in Austin with family. Cupcake's prepared by none other then my Kia's Creations ;-) xoxo Just bright primary colors.

On another note, I have hurt my back. I carried Blaine into the mall the other day and I have ended up with a pulled muscle and pinched nerve. I am now waiting patiently for my hubby to get home with some meds to relieve this horrible pain. Good thing I got the kiddos packed the other day.

This will 'probably be my last post until we return. Please lift us up if you remember on Thursday for a safe flight. Be well!

I GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO

This post will mean nothing to most of my readers. This post means A LOT to me! I am on a photography forum with many well known, highly respected and sought after photographers. There are 'locked' sections on the forum and you basically have to interview and be accepted into them. I tried once a few months ago and was turned down. I tried again a week ago and I was ACCEPTED! WOOOO-HOOO!

My cup runneth over ;-) This is a big step and will only help me become more successful as a photographer.
This is my big news I was waiting on (Jenn)

SORRY DOES NOT CUT IT

UGH, why ME? I feel like I have said that a lot recently. Since December my kids have stayed sick, you all know it because I write about it. We have had URI's and tonsillitis, then yet another URI and today we had to take Leelyn AGAIN for a red eye full of puss which is pink eye just in the past two weeks. This doesn't count the ER visit in December! Three visits in two weeks.

I get home with the prescription which was $70.00 for eye drops by the way. I notice that they aren't quiet drops but gel. I think 'Hm, two drops of gel, that is WEIRD' but who am I .......no doc or pharmacist. Anyhoo, Brian holds Leelyn down, peeling his infected eye apart and I 'TRY' to disperse two drops, HA! NOT HAPPENING!!!!!!! Brain calls the pharmacist (WALGREENS) and for the SECOND time with us they MESSED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT SUPPOSED TO BE GEL, DROPS!
They once filled a script for our dog Sissy with a medication that could have KILLED her! YEAH, seriously!
Poor Leelyn, I don't care what I go through, my kids being WELL is all that matters. Wine anyone? ;-)

Pedicures are meant for relaxing.......

I went this afternoon to get my cute pedi before vacation and I really needed that time to just relax. I got there, went to sit in my chair- sat down and started looking at all the ladies there getting their pedicures when BAM- there 'she' was.....with her pink phone, black appointment setter looking tired. My heart started to beat fast, my hands began to sweat and in that moment I felt as if I would puke all over the little asian women who apparently was asking me "You like yo nails done, it good for you" but I was so focused on her that I couldn't even swallow, let alone answer the asian lady. I remember that face like I remember my name, it is a face I will never forget. I distinctly remember her frown lines in between her eyebrows. The shock soon turned into fear and then anger. She sat there in her chair, with her fancy shoes, cute purse, well done hair getting her toes and nails done while I sat in my chair with my out-grown hair, way over due toes, stressed and still with a huge hole in my garage.

I almost approached her, but I didn't. I keep asking myself why why why, was there a reason that she, the lady that drove into my house drunk was sitting a mere 12 feet from me. I don't know. I thought she lost her license, I thought for sure that once the toxicology came back she'd be behind bars. So in this world, we can drive drunk, endanger the lives of so many yet 4 months later be free to get a mani and pedi.....NICE! Anyway here are my cute toes ;-) (not really I have ugly feet but the polish is cute imo ;-)

Moving forward. Leelyn needs a haircut so stinkin' bad. It is to the point of this:

Yes, we put it in a ponytail. LOL
He is so purdy ;-)

Being adorable gets us free stuff!

I am going out on a limb here and I will say that.......my boys are SO stinkin' adorable! LOL
I feel horrible, gawd awful sick. My throat hurts so bad, my head is so stuffy and pounding but when you are mom, there is just no sick days!

I had to run errands, I HAD to. I took Blaine to McDonalds as he received a gift card from the grandparents for VDAY and he was begging me to go....no I didn't touch not even a fry ;-)
However, Mr. Cutie Pants stole the heart of the manager so much that she gave him and Leelyn a free ice cream cone! FREE! She couldn't get over his beautiful blue eyes and that darn mowhawk, which he proudly wears since daddy gave it to him ;-)
Oh and the free stuff today, yes it doesn't end there. While at the grocery store I always get Blaine a drink, usually a vitamin water because it keeps him quiet for a bit. Well I totally forgot he had it and I was almost to the doors leaving before I noticed it and made a quick dash turn-around to the CS counter. I let them know that I forgot he had that and I needed to pay for it, once again the manager said his cute looks just got me out of paying for it....okay, seriously! I need to take him shopping with me more often!

On another note....I just think this is so darn cute- Blaine thinks that there are little people in the stereo singing. LOL The mind of a 4 yr. old, love it!

Hope to have some YAY news soon, awaiting the 'judgement' ;-)
