Fireworks and friends

We met some friends @ Fenton days last night and had a 'blast'. The fireworks were outstanding. Proud to be an American. Thanks for the invite guys!

one of those rainy days

I love the rain, but not for 3 days straight! I decided to drag my kids to the mall today, I could no longer take it! Teething, crying, snot nose kids inside for 3 days is enough to drive anyone nuts-o! ha ha

So I strap my screaming 6 month old in his car seat, wiggles and all while Blaine is repeating "Leelyn stop crying" "Leelyn is a cry baby" UGH! I get out to my car only to notice that the base of Leelyns car seat is NOT in the car thanks to daddy who loaded his mountain bike in it the other day to go for a ride on some trails and failed to put it back, UGH! Have I mentioned it is raining and Leeln is still screaming! UGH!

I finally get us loaded, nice and wet and hair a frizzy mess after spending 25 mins on it, UGH! I turn the key and my car doesn't start!!!! Tried again, nothing.....one more try, ta-da it started. That was scary!

Anyhoo, I hit some great sales and got some cute shots. Enjoy!

90210....horrible!

I was a die hard 90210 fan as was the hubby, believe that! We were disappointed last night! It isn't often that we both make it a point to watch a drama episode, we were excited and let down. I will say that Jenny Garth looks FAB! So nice to see a woman with curves, HEALTHY on tv!!!! She is a beauty indeed. Also, this brings me to my next piece - what was up with all the drinking? I mean I know and understand that it is 2008 - STILL people!! It was a HUGE deal back int he day if one of the cast members drank or tried drugs and it seemed to be the norm last night. Next, moving forward....the other morning we were out of coffee (head spinning, eyes rolling here) so Bri had to run to the corner store to get us some much needed java and he came home with these: Talk about a buzzzz, geeze! I can see it now, teen taken to hospital due to OD on STOK! Hope I don't influence!

Dirty lil' secret/confession

Gosh that Leelyn is so far ahead of where I want him to be! lol Check this out! He is a bootin' scootin' boogie-monster! My confession: He fell off our 4 ft. high bed last week! If you have seen my bed, you know we use a step stool to get in it, it is that high! Not only did he fall, but he fell in-between the bed and night stand on my side, which is only a 6 inch gap. How he managed THAT I have no clue, he took the phone with him, I guess to call for help! ha ha He was fine by the grace of God, which is who he called. Not one scratch on him! Needless to say, no more naps on the bed! Speaking of, thinking it should be 100% crib time, bye-bye bassinet! Geesh!

PS- yes I had big pillows surrounding him on the bed as a barrier which didn't stop the little stinker! ;-)

A day @ the local river

About 1 mile from our house is the meremac river. They recently starting putting a park there so we decided to venture out and take a lil' looksy. It was pretty nice actually. Blaine had a blast splashing in the water much to my dismay!!!! Boys will be boys I suppose! Brian and I had a nice evening out alone for my birthday. He took me to a quaint little place in Clayton known as Almonds. Yummy! Not to fancy, my kind of place. The food was excellent. Thank you MJ and Amanda for taking care of the boys for us! Brian goes back to work tomorrow, bummer! I am getting a summer cold, no fun. I also want to give a special shout out to my BFF Kia, thank you lovely lady for all the many cards and book. You are to sweet and cute and totally something I would do.

Happy Birthday

Yesterday @ MOPS I had a couple of moms come to me and say "Your older boy is so sweet" and "That Blaine is such a good big brother, he seems very gentle" naturally, anytime another mom compliments your child(ren) it is a huge compliment. I put Leelee in his crib after his bath so I could transfer some laundry, as I was walking back upstairs I heard Blaine reading to him, so I grabbed the camera and captured this sweet shot. I used to read this book to Blaine all of the time, and there he was, in the crib reading to Leelyn, with his Cubs hat on, lol

Our Blaine is a very sweet boy indeed. This is the best birthday gift I could ever recieve!
